Disaster Relief
Whether it’s a home fire, a multi-state natural disaster, an international natural disaster, FOACDC responds when needed, so that victims can have clean drinking water, shelter, and hot meals. We work diligently to help the vulnerable in need. We work with local agencies and governments while providing critical services.
Earthquakes, hurricanes, floods, fires, and tornadoes. These severe weather conditions and disasters wreak havoc on the United States and other countries around the world every year.
These kinds of crisis drive thousands of people from their homes temporarily and sometimes permanently due to their homes being a total loss. FOACDC steps in to assist with their rescue, relief, and recovery by receiving aid.
Your Relief Gifts in Action
Your POWER OF GIVING provides emergency cleanup operations and repairs to houses damaged in disasters across affected areas throughout the United States and around the world.
Additionally, your gift helps to provide other much needed items such as:
- Temporary or permanent shelter
- Clean drinking water
- Food
- Hygiene Kits
- Clean blankets
- Clothing
Natural disasters kill an average of 60,000 people per year globally.
95% of our disaster relief workers are volunteers and most of the disasters we respond to are house fires.
Military Personnel & Veterans Support
FOACDC honors military service members who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving and defending this great nation and unselfishly protecting our freedoms. We help to:
- Provide scholarships to cover the cost of private school tuition and fees for kids K-12.
- Provide scholarships to spouses in college and children under the age of 26, which cover the cost of tuition and fees, living expenses, books, and computers.
FOACDC helps current military families who are struggling to make ends meet while defending this great nation in which they serve. FOACDC helps to:
- Provide care packages to military veterans and military units around the world.
- Provide temporary lodging for military and veteran families free of charge while a loved one is in the hospital.
- Provide emergency financial assistance for food, utilities, home repairs, rent, mortgage, and vehicle repairs.
FOACDC offers information on matters to discuss with your service member prior to deployment. This information can give some peace of mind and help the service member focus on his/her mission.
- Know the service member’s unit name.
- Maintain a copy of service member’s orders.
- Know service member’s SSN, Rank/Rate, and branch of service.
- Know military unit address.
- Know email address and cellphone number.
FOACDC believes it is extremely critical that families are prepared to deal with the challenges of homelife when their loved one is deployed. We can provide useful information on how to respond to the many challenges you may experience during the deployment period. This information is very helpful for the parents, spouse, and children.
The information can better equip families for potential difficulties, teach on how to help other families who may be experiencing the same difficulties, and will help connect you with other families in your community.
There is no charge for this information. Please call FOACDC for more information.
